Cambria MS
Cambria MS showing at her first show at Woodside
Cambria MS is a flashy Chestnut mare with four white socks and three balanced gaits with plenty of girth. Back to full work under-saddle after having a stunning chestnut colt in 2016 by the handsome Devon Heir (Hann). Cambria shows great athletic form in her jump and movements. Her temperament is on the warm side, with plenty of scope to jump in the hunter or jumper division. Did I mention she loves her trail rides. Cambria is suitable for a smaller novice rider in a training program that does not have a big budget to spend for so much talent. She has a lifetime number, passport, has a microchip and is registered in the RPSI-Westfalen Pre Mare Book.
Caligula ll, an Approved Holsteiner, (Cambridge x Landego x Roman), is Cambria's sire, an impressive stallion with a kind temperament, a beautiful head and a first-class expression, he displays correct gaits and powerful movements that he passes on to his offsprings. Brought over from Europe as a promising show jumper stallion, showing great elasticity in his jumping style, sadly his career ended all too quickly with an unfortunate accident. Today as a breeding stallion he continues to sire many premium foals and passes on his great talents both in the show jumping and dressage ring. Cambridge, sire of Caligula ll, started a storybook career in show jumping. 1993 he was an ongoing winner in jumping tests, levels A, L, and M. In super form, he qualified with Luger Beerbaum for the German National Young Horse Championships, where he placed as vice-champion, five year old division. That same year he was the most successful breeding stallion of his age group. In 1994 he virtually repeated his success: he won numerous jumping test and placed fifth with Ludger Beerbaum at the German National Young Horse Championships, 6 year old division, and then advanced to wins in level S classes. As a sire, Cambridge is consistently delivering highly refined products with better than average possibilities in movements; they are of high-class, particularly in jumping.
Batavia, Cambria's dam was a Westphalen mare showed and won many championships on the "A" circuit in the open Speed Jumper classes under top professional rider Richard Spooner, before being purchased for our daughter Tory Montgomery. The mare continued her success with Tory taking over the reins in the AO & Grand Prix division till her older teens, then retired to our broodmare herd.
